Xtreme Prayer Challenge

Hi Roma,

Just wanted to pass on my personal and collective thanks for your kind hospitality shown by yourself, Steve, Sue and the rest of your team. We felt truly blessed being hosted at Egerton URC Church. It was great to have such a collective mix of churches too – Anglican, Methodist, Independent Evangelical, Charismatic and URC – a great way of joining the dots together!

I’m still collating photos, but I’ve sent you a small collection of our walk, and a couple around your church. I’ve also posted several more of the entire walk on our Facebook page (I ran the event under Rockhaven, a charitable trust I’ve set up, to ensure we were covered from an insurance point of view) https://www.facebook.com/RockhavenTrust

We completed the walk at 6:45pm on Saturday – seven of us managed the full 49 mile route. It was brilliant to connect the dots around the perimeter of Bolton and have 8 dedicated prayer stations, 6 of which were churches, on the way round. It was also good to bring in a couple of walkers from our recovery group who have recently come to faith in Christ. It was a great experience for them; taught them the value of prayer, and gave them a real self-esteem boost having completed the challenge. We’re trusting now that God will answer our offering of prayers for Bolton in the way that He sees fit!

Every blessing,

Lee Higson
